Palm Beach Complex – Cannes

The Palm Beach Complex, a true institution on the Croisette in Cannes, has recently undergone an ambitious restoration by the architecture firm Caprini & Pellerin. Located at the tip of Palm Beach, this iconic site spans 23,000 m² and offers spectacular panoramic views, extending from Cap d’Antibes to the Estérel, with the Lérins Islands and the Bay of Cannes on the horizon.

An iconic place that has helped forge the international reputation of the French Riviera. From Grace Kelly to the Kennedys, passing through Gary Grant, Serge Gainsbourg & Jane Birkin, and even Picasso, everyone has passed through Palm Beach.

An Ambitious Renovation Project

Launched in 2019, the restoration project was completed after nearly five years of meticulous work. The goal was to restore Palm Beach's former prestige by modernizing its facilities while preserving its historical heritage. The renovated complex now features an Olympic swimming pool and VIP clubs, offering an exclusive experience and five-star services.

Architecture Between History and Modernity

Caprini & Pellerin skillfully combined the history of this mythical place with a contemporary identity. The architect duo conducted research on the building’s evolution to preserve its soul while giving it a new life. The façades have been reinforced and original decorative elements, such as cornices and Art Deco motifs, have been reintroduced and enhanced, evoking the elegance of Hispano-Moorish architecture and Art Deco.

The choice of materials has also been made to prioritize French craftsmanship. The polished concrete façade cladding mimics lime plaster, giving the building the appearance of natural stone while resisting sea spray. Inside, the hand-applied lime plaster and terracotta tiles on the roofs reflect respect for authenticity and heritage.

A Deep Respect for Heritage

Caprini & Pellerin have engaged artisans with unique skills—cabinetmakers, ceramicists, blacksmiths—to harmonize contemporary design with luxury craftsmanship. Every detail, from sumptuous Italian marbles to custom-made furniture, has been carefully chosen to preserve the site's heritage while enhancing it. The arches of the Grand Gallery, for example, use noble materials such as travertine and bronze, recreating a majestic and timeless atmosphere.

A Unique Experience on the Riviera

The Palm Beach Complex stands out for its ability to offer a high-end entertainment experience. In addition to exclusive clubs, a fitness center & spa, and restaurants such as Zuma, Nammos, La Petite Maison, Medusa Cabaret, and Le Masque de Fer, the complex features a gallery lined with luxury boutiques (Dior, Loewe, Loro Piana…). The legendary seawater pool and private beach have also been restored, making Palm Beach a must-visit on the French Riviera.

The complex also hosts prestigious events in a revamped reception hall named in honor of Alain Delon. Completely rebuilt, this hall, equipped with the latest technologies, offers breathtaking sea views, making it a prime venue.

A Private Club and a Legendary Casino

The Palm Beach Complex would not be complete without its legendary casino, set to be revived in 2025. This project promises to breathe new life into this Belle Époque icon by combining the elegance of Art Deco with contemporary amenities. A bar inspired by 1920s speakeasies, a gaming space, and private lounges will offer an immersive and exclusive experience.

A Must-Visit Address on the French Riviera

The Palm Beach Complex is more than just a renovation project: it is a modern reinterpretation of a historic site, which respects its past while opening up to the future. With its entertainment spaces, dining establishments, and luxury boutiques, it stands out as a must-visit address for connoisseurs of refinement on the French Riviera.
