Esporles is an original village with around 4,000 inhabitants and is located in the middle of the Tramuntana mountains. Palma, Banyalbufar and Valldemosa are within easy reach. In the past, the textile industry was an important economic component of village life, nowadays it is mainly agriculture, livestock farming and tourism. With its stone-clad houses and winding alleyways, this pretty village has retained much of its original charm and leaves a lasting impression. Fruit, vegetables, handicrafts, textiles, plants and flowers as well as regional produce can be found every Saturday at the popular weekly market in the center of Esporles.
